Use this portal to quickly activate evaluation or permanent licenses for management pack products.
How to use this MP Licensing portal
If you are requesting the license activations for the first time and you are not familiar with the principles of MP licensing, please read the overview of the licensing mechanisms on the right.
Before using this portal, generate the license request file as described in the Licensing section of the product's Installation and Configuration guide.
To obtain the license activation files(s), perform the following steps:
1. Create user for this MP Licensing Portal
If you have not received your personal Licensing portal account, then you need to create one. On this page, click Create an account, enter the required personal information, and click Create an account. You will receive a link and your activation code by e-mail in a few minutes. Click the link in the e-mail to open the activation page, enter the activation code, and click Activate. You will receive confirmation e-mail with your account information.
2. Sign into your account
On this page, click Sign in or Sign in using secure mode (SSL encryption) and enter your username and password to login to the MP Licensing portal.
3. Upload the license request file and generate the license activation file(s)
Choose the Permanent Licenses or Temporary/Evaluation Licenses link, upload the license request file, and click Send Request.
NOTE: To access the permanent license activation file generation site, you need the product Purchase Order Number.
The licensing system will automatically process the license request file and send you the license activation file(s) by e-mail in a few minutes.

How the MP licensing works
Before you can start using the MP products, you must obtain a valid license activation for every managed node that will be monitored by this product. Each license activation is node specific and cannot be transferred to or used on any other node.
MP should first be installed on the SCOM Management server and configured. To create a license request file, perform the steps described in the Licensing section of the Installation and Configuration chapter in the products Users Guide.
Upload the license request file(s) to this Licensing portal and you will receive the license activation file(s) with the requested permanent or evaluation (30 days) license activation file(s) by e-mail within 10 minutes.
Copy the license activation file to location described in the Licensing section of the Installation and Configuration chapter in the product's User's Guide.
